Welcome to the Jazz Appreciation Small Group, where faith, fellowship, and exceptional music come together in a unique and enriching experience.

Our group is dedicated to celebrating some of the world's finest musicians, with a special focus on jazz artists who have dedicated their lives to Christ, achieved excellence at the highest levels of their profession, and exemplify a spirit of integrity and artistic excellence.

Each week, we begin our gathering with the study of Pastor Blunt's curriculum, providing opportunities for spiritual growth, meaningful discussion, and deeper discipleship. Following our study, we transition into our Jazz Appreciation segment, where we enjoy performances, interviews, and stories from outstanding artists through virtual presentations and occasional live performances.

Our goal is to foster a community that not only grows in faith but also develops a greater appreciation for the gifts and influence of musicians who honor God through their artistry. As a culmination of the semester, we look forward to celebrating together through a special event, which may include a live virtual concert or attendance at a local live performance.

I have had the privilege of being part of this community for the past six years. During that time, we have cultivated a vibrant fellowship of believers who share a love for both the Gospel and Jazz music.

In addition to growing spiritually through the teaching and guidance of our Pastor, we have been blessed with opportunities to connect with world-class musicians who openly share their faith and use their international platforms to glorify God. It is truly humbling to reflect on the fact that artists such as Jonathan Butler, Kirk Whalum, Cyrus Chestnut, and many others have taken the time to engage with our group. Their participation has enriched our experience and strengthened the unique sense of community we enjoy.
